From Lahore India 4th March 1922 Letter written by Terence's Grandfather Dixon on your behalf to your Grand Aunt Ida announcing your birth. Herewith I send you a line to let you know I arrived safely today, and expect presently that Ma and I shall journey back to Rasul, where I hope to meet and make acquaintance with another man, also a Tinsley. Grandpa Dixon is writing this, on my behalf (and by the way, without my authority). I have not met him yet, either, and hope that my selection of him as a forebear has not been indiscreet. Ma and I appear to be 'doing well'. As I am your only grand nephew, I need not append my signature to this note: In fact just for this moment I am anonymous. By the way Ma has been calling me "Angelina" and "Insect" I am going to see about that: it won't do, to have old people taking liberties.
